Summer Vacation

We recently returned from a fabulous ten day vacation to Washington!
The boys had a blast! Charlie's been missing his Uncle Paul!

Aunt Brandy gave the boys a fun little water toy that they played with on the deck all week. Adam liked dipping his face into the water.

Uncle Paul joined us on a little side trip. Our first stop was Port Townsend.

After visiting, I found out that at least one of my Grandfathers was stationed here during WW2.

This is the beach at Port Townsend. Charlie made a friend right away. Victor helped him build a sand castle.

This was just the begining of Adam's sand consumption. He must have liked it. He was pooping sand for 2 or 3 days after our ocean time.

Our destination was LaPush, WA. We stayed on First Beach (pictured above and below). As you can see, it was beautiful!

Our deck had an ocean view. The boys loved wandering in and out.
The beach was full of drift wood, if we can call it that. They were actually full sized trees!

After a fun morning on First Beach, we took an awesome 20, or so, minute hike through the lush forest to get to Second Beach.

Second Beach was my favorite of the three beaches. It was so beautiful, and quite empty. The sun was warm, and it was easy to relax here. We saw some seals playing in the surf. It was a great day!

Pretty hot brothers!

Adam LOVED the sand! He just rolled around in it. He didn't care if it got in his face. He was in heaven!

It was so fun to watch Charlie play. You could just see him using his imagination and taking it all in. I loved seeing him chase the seagulls.

We couldn't do without some "Twilight" tourism. Forks was fun to see, but nothing to write home about!

This sunset is on First Beach. This is the view from our balcony.

The hike to Third Beach was about 35 minutes. We couldn't have done it without "Nanny" Paul!

Pretty cute brothers!

Both days Adam fell asleep on the hike back to our car. Thanks again, Nanny Paul!

Back in Seattle with Grandma and Papa. We took the boys on their first Ferry Boat ride. The weather was great!

Next stop....rides for Charlie at the Seattle Center. I think we both got hit and kicked when it was time to leave. These are the finer benefits of parenthood!
It was SeaFair weekend in Seattle. This is Charlie with Tanner at lake Washington checking out some boats.

Our friend Adam Smith hanging out with Charlie. Pretty cool!

Papa Craig let the boys check out his Harley. Charlie loves motorcycles!

In the pool....on the deck....at Great Grandma's.....during seafair.
Ten days later. Charlie says it all!
