All that anyone really wants to see are the pictures, right?  I don't need to say much, but Caroline's Blessing Day was very special. My Mom spent hours making her dress. It was gorgeous. I know that it will always be special to her. It's made from the same silk that my Grandmother used to make my wedding dress. My friend Breezy used her talent to make a beautiful headpeice for Caroline. She was exquisite!

My Father gave her a name and a blessing at our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, on May 6th. It was a beautiful day. We were glad to have so many of our friends and family members there with us. Aunt Susie came the longest distance, from Seattle. I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with love. We have been so blessed to have Caroline join our little family. I know that God knows us, and I know that we knew each other before we came to earth. I am so grateful that Christian, Charlie, Adam, Caroline, and I are here, together!

This picture is a treasure to me. I am so lucky to see my Grandmother hold my child!

We had a wonderful celebration, with food, after church at my parents house.

My friend Julie Shipman took the time to photograph Caroline with me and my Mom. These are beautiful pictures that I know I will always treasure!

Until Caroline was born, I couldn't have imagined how happy my Mom must have been when she found out I was a girl. It may seem superficial, but when you really think about what it means, any surface meaning disappears. To have a daughter is to have a friend for life. Someone who you will be connected to forever. I know that there is no way that I love my Mom as much as she loves me, but I know that I will love Caroline in a way that she won't understand until she has a child of her own. I look forward to watching her grow. I hope that my boys will let me love them and always be close to them, and I hope that Caroline will be my partner, my girl power! I can't wait to know her, and I hope someday to watch her become a Mother, too!
